Byzantine Icon of Jesus Christ – Christ Pantocrator (Ὁ Μέγας Ἀρχιερεύς)

This religious icon in Byzantine style depicts Christ Pantocrator as the Great High Priest, enthroned and flanked by the symbols of the four Evangelists (angel, eagle, lion, and bull). The work is executed as a later copy after a classical Byzantine example and intended for devotional and decorative use.

Christ is shown in a traditional composition: seated on a throne, making a gesture of blessing and embodying liturgical authority. The Evangelist symbols surrounding Him emphasize the universal authority of the Word. The gold-toned background and color scheme are in keeping with Orthodox iconography, although the execution clearly reflects modern production.
