Orthodox Religious Triptych (House Icon) – circa 1950–1980

This wooden Orthodox triptych (house icon) is a traditional devotional object, produced in Eastern Europe in the mid to late 20th century. The piece is inspired by the Byzantine-Orthodox iconographic tradition and was intended for personal devotion or as a religious souvenir.

The interior shows three classical iconographic representations:

Christ Pantocrator
The Virgin and Child (Eleousa type, the tenderly embracing Mother)
A saint, possibly an angel or martyr

The icons are printed on wood (paper/transfer) and not hand-painted, which is characteristic of serially produced devotional objects from this period.
