Pair of Antique Cut Crystal Decanters with Stoppers, ca. 1870–1900

Elegant pair of antique crystal decanters, dating from the late 19th century, made of clear cut lead crystal and fitted with their original matching stoppers. The two decanters form a harmonious set and are typical of the Victorian / Belle Époque period.

Each decanter features an octagonal body with deep, hand-cut vertical fluting and a finely cut star base, creating strong light reflection. The shoulders and neck are faceted, and the overall cutting shows the depth and craftsmanship characteristic of 19th-century crystal.

The stoppers are multi-faceted and well matched to the decanters. Traces of old cork are present, which is normal and consistent with age and use.

Circa 1870–1900 (late 19th century)

Dating is based on:

• Deep hand-cut facets

• Star-cut bases typical of 19th-century lead crystal

• Slight asymmetry (not machine-perfect)

• Original stoppers with age-related wear
