Refund Policy

At House of History, we want you to be satisfied with the vintage treasures you find with us. However, if you are not completely happy, we offer a 30-day return policy. You have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it—unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. Please also include your receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, please contact us at info@houseofhistory.nl. Returns should be sent to the following address: [INSERT RETURN ADDRESS]. Please note that return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted.

Damages & Issues

We take great care in packaging our items, but if you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please contact us immediately so we can resolve the issue.

Exceptions / Non-returnable Items

Certain items cannot be returned, including:

  • Perishable goods (such as food, flowers, plants)
  • Customized or personalized products
  • Personal care items (such as beauty products)
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases

Unfortunately, we also cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards. If you are unsure about a specific item, please feel free to contact us for clarification.

Exchanges

To exchange an item, the best course of action is to return the original item. Once your return is accepted, you can make a new purchase for the item you would like to receive.

14-Day Cooling-Off Period for the European Union

For customers in the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days without providing a reason. As with our standard return policy, the item must be in its original condition, unworn or unused, with tags and in its original packaging. Proof of purchase is also required.

Refunds

Once we have received and inspected your return, we will notify you whether the refund is approved. If approved, your refund will be processed and automatically refunded via your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note that your bank or credit card company may take additional time to process the refund.
