Decorative Asian Porcelain Plate with Birds & Flowers – 20th Century

This hand-painted porcelain decorative plate is richly adorned with colorful birds on flowering branches, surrounded by flowers and fruit. The plate is executed in a distinctly decorative style strongly inspired by East Asian (particularly Chinese) traditions and was likely produced for the European export market in the 20th century.

In the central field, two birds are depicted among blossoming branches and flowers, including peonies—traditionally symbols of prosperity, wealth, and harmony. The deep cobalt blue background creates a striking contrast with the bright colors of pink, green, yellow, orange, and white.

The rim is divided into decorative panels with a yellow border and floral motifs, giving the plate a rich and lively appearance. The plate is clearly intended as a decorative object, suitable for wall or cabinet display.
