This decorative wall plate in traditional Delft Blue style features a charming harbor scene with sailing ships and 18th-century figures, surrounded by an old Dutch proverb along the rim. Designed as a wall hanger, the plate combines historical inspiration with mid-20th-century craftsmanship.

The central composition depicts a lively maritime setting, while the border is enriched with floral motifs and a classic blue-and-white color palette. The surrounding text reflects a moralistic or maritime saying, typical of Delft-inspired decorative ceramics.

Although styled after 17th–18th century Dutch pottery, this piece is a 20th-century production, made for decorative and export purposes.
