La maison D. Saudinos Ritouret, founded in the 19th century, is a leading company specialized in religious objects such as rosaries, medals, holy water fonts, pictures, and church statues. In 1875 the company was run by the widow Saudinos and had a store at 6 place Saint-Sulpice in Paris. Over the years, the company expanded with multiple locations in Paris and a factory in Vertolaye, Puy-de-Dôme.
This particular statue is a beautiful example of the craftsmanship of D. Saudinos Ritouret, with the signature "D.S.R." on a picture. It is a stately and detailed work of art that radiates the strength and courage of Jeanne dArc.
