A mourning tableware, also known as "Mourning Tableware" - "Trauergeschirr" - "Vaisselle de deuil" - "Vajilla de luto", was normally kept in a cupboard covered with a cloth and was only brought out when a family member had died. It served as a tribute to the deceased and symbolized mourning and respect.
