Product Description
Product Description
This beautiful set of two decorative plates originates from Gouda, the Netherlands, and represents the distinctive style of Dutch Art Deco pottery (plateel) from the interwar period.
Each plate is hand-painted with a bold and stylized floral design, featuring striking color contrasts in turquoise, black, orange, and purple. The geometric and decorative composition is characteristic of Gouda pottery, known for its expressive patterns and rich glazing techniques.
Marked “Gouda Holland” on the reverse, these plates are authentic examples of early 20th-century Dutch decorative ceramics, likely produced by a smaller workshop or studio rather than a large factory.
