Product Description
This stunning set of three Delft Blue tobacco jars blends traditional Dutch craftsmanship with timeless design. Crafted by De Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft), the oldest still-active pottery factory in the Netherlands, each jar features a richly decorated blue-and-white motif and is topped with a polished brass lid. These tobacco jars are both functional and decorative — ideal for collectors of Delft Blue ceramics, lovers of classic interiors, or anyone with a passion for Dutch heritage.
Maker:
De Porceleyne Fles, also known as Royal Delft, was founded in 1653 in Delft and is the last remaining original Delftware factory. The factory is globally renowned for its hand-painted Delft Blue ceramics. Each piece is marked on the base with the traditional logo and “Made in Holland” to confirm its authenticity.
Function:
These tobacco jars were originally used to store and preserve tobacco, keeping it dry and aromatic thanks to their tightly fitted brass lids. Today, they are equally suitable as decorative pieces in a smoking room, classic library, or vintage-inspired kitchen. They can also serve as unique canisters, decorative storage, or additions to a Delft Blue or smoking accessory collection.
Gift idea:
A perfect gift for collectors of Delft Blue, antique pottery, or traditional Dutch objects. Ideal for anniversaries, retirements, or as a unique luxury gift. This elegant trio adds a refined, historic touch to any home and is sure to impress lovers of ceramic design and cultural heritage.
