Vintage Optical Eyeglasses with Leather Case – Metzler / Optiek-Foto Gijsen (ca. 1950–1960)

This rectangular vintage eyeglass frame from the 1950s–1960s combines German craftsmanship with Dutch optical history. The gold-toned metal frame with a dark plastic browline is characteristic of mid-century design. The inside of the temple is marked “Metzler Germany” with size indication, confirming authenticity.

The glasses come with an original red leather case stamped in gold with Optiek-Foto Gijsen – Sittard, adding strong regional and collectible appeal.
